1978 Jeep CJ-5 Project $2000.00
For sale is my 1978 Jeep CJ-5 Project. I have had to start my own business and do not have time to complete this project. There are too many items for me to list, but here is a list of what I can remember:
Jeep CJ-5 Frame coated with POR-15
Jeep CJ-5 Tub in great shape – small rust holes in the floor board only
Jeep CJ-5 front fenders – small dent in one
Jeep CJ-5 stock front axle
Jeep CJ-5 stock 3 spd standard transmission
Jeep CJ-5 stock transfer case
One pair of leather bucket seats for CJ-5 in good shape
One CJ-5 Front Grill with stainless overlay and headlights
One full top, one small top, both in good shape
Two soft doors in good shape
One tow bar currently mounted to the front of the frame
Chevrolet 350 ci engine, 4 spd transmission and transfer case from a 1974 GMC 4×4 the motor ran when it was removed from the donor vehicle, but has been sitting for a couple years. The motor is on a stand, which I will give you if you buy this project.
One pair of matching Dana 44 axles out of a 1976 Scout (gear ratio unknown). The rear axle has been installed under the CJ-5 frame. The front axle is disassembled on one side.
One pair of Warn locking hubs for a Scout Dana 44 new – still in the box
One pair of front brake rotors for a Scout Dana 44 new – still in the box
One set of stainless steel brake lines for a Jeep CJ-5 new – still in the box
One gasket set for a Chevrolet 350 – new
One pair of chrome valve covers for a Chevrolet 350 – new
Four aluminum rims and tires in good shape
The Dana 44 rear axle and the stock front axle are currently mounted to the frame with the rims and tires, so the frame will roll. You will need a large truck or trailer to pick all of this up. I have a cherry picker to help with the larger items. This project is for sale as a whole only – I am not interested in just selling specific parts. If you buy the project and I find additional items in my garage, attic, or barn, you are welcome to those. The frame and tub are in great shape for their age. This will be a great Jeep CJ when it is finished, but I am unable to continue with the project at this time.
